9 | Once all the blanks are bent, use steel wool to polish off the permanent marker line and any other marks that might have made their way to the sides or backs of the blanks.

10 | Now complete the bends in which the bracelet will sit. Lean a pair of medium bail-making pliers up against the inner angle/bend. Curve the excess part of the blank (the tail) over the smaller side of the bail pliers (Figure 7). If you have any trouble, use nylon-jaw pliers to help push the metal down.

11 | Once you have started “closing” the blanks down to a tighter angle, it will be easier to cleanly pinch them onto the leather bracelet. However, it will be a little bit harder to get the bracelet in between this new, smaller space. Get all the blanks ready and then shimmy them onto the bracelet before you fully close them.

12 | Slide all the blanks to the center of the bracelet. (Figure 8)
